Events and rides at U.B.A.K.A. Munster
Discover how our motorcycle community supports children in need through impactful events and rides. Every gathering is a step towards a brighter future for the children we champion in Munster and across Ireland if required.
Our purpose-driven events
At U.B.A.K.A. Munster, our events and rides are always chosen with one clear priority in mind: supporting the children and families we stand with. We organise purpose-driven rides and community events that raise awareness for child advocacy and help fund our work. These rides aren’t about speed or spectacle, they’re about visibility, unity, and showing children that a community is willing to stand beside them. Just seeing people turn up, consistently and respectfully, can make a powerful difference.
Awareness rides
These rides are designed to increase public awareness for child advocacy and to visibly demonstrate community support for vulnerable children.
Community events
Alongside fundraising and awareness rides, we also take part in support-focused activities that put children first and build stronger communities.
Support activities
This can include attending events that help children build confidence, being present at intimidating moments, or simply showing steady, reliable support.
Making a difference, one ride at a time
Our events provide vital support to children, offering a visible sense of reassurance and community. For our members, it's an opportunity to enjoy the camaraderie of riding while making a tangible positive impact.
How our events help children
Our events and rides help children by providing something many of them have lost, a visible sense of support and reassurance. Purpose-led rides, community events, and awareness activities show children and families that they are not facing difficult situations alone. Seeing the same people turn up consistently and responsibly can help reduce fear, build confidence, and reinforce a feeling of safety, all while staying within safeguarding boundaries and working alongside parents and appropriate services.
Joy for motorcycle enthusiasts
For motorcycle enthusiasts, these events are about more than just the ride. Members enjoy the camaraderie, shared purpose, and sense of belonging that comes from riding together for a meaningful cause. Group rides, charity events, and community meet-ups create strong bonds and reminders that their passion for motorcycling can be used for positive change. The balance is what makes it special, doing something enjoyable while knowing it contributes to supporting children and raising awareness.
Join us in making a difference
The most important thing to know is that everything we do is child-centred and values-led. Whether someone is joining an event, helping out, or taking part in a ride, the focus is always on supporting children safely, respectfully, and responsibly. That means acting with professionalism, compassion, and patience, and understanding that we work alongside families and appropriate services, not independently or confrontational. Our events are welcoming and purpose-driven, but they’re never about spectacle, they’re about showing up consistently, behaving responsibly, and putting the well-being of children first.
A special moment that showed our impact
One of the most meaningful experiences for our members isn’t usually a big public event, but a simple, purpose-led ride where everyone knows why they’re there. On one such occasion, members came together for a small, respectful ride linked to supporting a local family. There was no spectacle or attention-seeking — just a group of familiar faces showing up calmly and consistently.
For the child involved, seeing the same people arrive together, reliably and with kindness, made a visible difference. It helped reduce fear and replaced it with reassurance — a sense that they weren’t facing things alone. That quiet moment of confidence is why these rides matter so much. For the riders, it was just as powerful. The ride itself was enjoyable, the camaraderie was strong, and the sense of purpose brought everything together. It reminded everyone why they joined in the first place — not just for the bikes or the social side, but because being present, united, and responsible can genuinely help someone.
