Our mission and values: protecting children in Ireland
At U.B.A.K.A. Munster (Urban Bulldogs Against Kids Abuse), we are driven by a singular purpose: to stand as a beacon of support, reassurance, and protection for children who are vulnerable or in need. This includes children affected by abuse as well as children facing medical, emotional, or other life‑challenging circumstances.
Our work is guided by clear principles of compassion, responsibility, and child‑first advocacy. By combining our passion for motorcycling with a strong commitment to safeguarding and support, we provide a calm, visible, and reassuring presence that helps children feel safer, supported, and less alone.

Our unwavering commitment to children
The mission of U.B.A.K.A. Munster (Urban Bulldogs Against Kids Abuse) is to support and empower children who are vulnerable or in need, including those who have experienced abuse as well as children facing medical, emotional, or other life‑challenging circumstances. We do this by providing a calm, consistent, and protective presence in their lives when they need it most.
We exist to help children feel safe, believed, and supported, while standing alongside families as they navigate recovery, medical journeys, justice processes, and everyday situations that may feel overwhelming or intimidating. Through compassion, accountability, and visible community support, we aim to reduce fear, restore confidence, and reinforce every child’s right to safety, dignity, and care.

Core beliefs that guide our actions
- Every child has the right to feel safe.
No child should live in fear, intimidation, or silence. Safety and dignity are fundamental rights, not privileges. - Children deserve to be believed and supported.
When a child speaks up, they deserve to be heard, taken seriously, and supported with compassion and respect. - Strength can reduce fear.
A calm, consistent, and protective presence can help children feel less afraid and more confident as they navigate difficult situations. - Support works best when it is lawful and ethical.
We are not vigilantes and do not replace professional services. We work responsibly and in cooperation with families and appropriate authorities. - Community standing together makes a difference.
Visible solidarity shows children they are not alone and that people are willing to stand with them during challenging times. - Trust must be earned and protected.
Our members are held to high standards of behaviour, safeguarding, and accountability to ensure the trust placed in us is never compromised.

Motorcycles for advocacy: how we make a difference
We combine our love of motorbikes with child advocacy and support in a way that is positive, reassuring, and responsible. While motorcycles are part of who we are, they are never the focus, the child always comes first.
Our members use their visibility and calm presence to help children who are vulnerable or in need feel less afraid and more confident during situations that can be overwhelming. This may include children affected by abuse, children with medical needs, or those facing other significant life challenges. Whether it’s attending appointments, hospital visits, court hearings, or simply navigating everyday life, being supported by familiar, respectful adults can make a real difference.
For many children, seeing a group of calm, approachable people arrive together, often on motorcycles, sends a powerful message: you are not alone, and people care enough to stand with you. Motorbikes help us be recognisable and consistent, especially for children who respond positively to strong role models and symbols of solidarity.
We never intimidate or confront. Instead, we provide reassurance through our presence, professionalism, and compassion, always working alongside families and appropriate services. By blending community, structure, and visible support, we help children regain a sense of safety and control at times when they need it most.
At its heart, what we do is simple: we use what we love, riding and community, to help children feel safer, supported, and believed.
"U.B.A.K.A. Munster gave my child a sense of security they hadn't felt in years. Their presence made a huge difference during a very difficult time."
A grateful parent in Munster
